The Brenner Pass is long climb - not suited to Heidi's strengths at all. But she made it!
The views were stunning but I was more interested in watching the temperature gauge. It was climbing almost faster than we were at times!
A couple of cool-down stops were required but patience was rewarded and Heidi was successively protected and carried me safely over the Alps and into the lovely Italian town of Trento.
This pass was my biggest concern of the trip and it is now successfully overcome. Of course I need to cross the alps again to come back home but the Italian/Swiss crossing is lower and I hope not as fierce with the incline.
So while there is no complacency about the future, today was a real achievement and a concern overcome.
Thanks and well done Heidi!
